7th Grade Week 23                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

 

Reading: "The False Prince" By: Jennifer A. Nielsen

Last chapter, students will review on Monday and will have a test on Tuesday Feb 13.

Test will be based on Questions and Vocabulary.

Students will also work on different assignments which include:

High Level Vocabulary

Compare & Contrast

Questions from each chapter

Using Words in a sentence

Figurative Language

Characterization Charts

Simile/Metaphor

Writing Summaries

Shurley English

8th Grade Project: Research Paper

       1. Topics Approved

             2. Outline Assignment  

                                                 3. Note Cards - Intro, Body, Conclusion - students will be given due dates

                     4. Final Paper due April 30th

This week we will start going over research paper strategies and how we can add quality to each

paper. We will be focusing on the usage of correct grammar and using transitions while explaining

textual evidence to support their responses.
