Reminders:

Please refer to Power School in order to keep track of student averages and missing assignments.

Corrections are due the day after graded assignments/tests are returned.  Tests must be signed by parents.

Corrections will not be accepted if a student was absent on the day of the test.

Homework passes will not be accepted in this class because homework is crucial in order to practice the concepts covered in class.

Textbooks MUST be kept at home for reference and homework assignments.

I am available at 7:30 AM most days for tutoring and homework help.  

Tutoring for 6th Grade will be held after school on Tuesdays from 3:15-3:45.

Tutoring for 5th Grade will be held after school on Thursdays from 3:15-3:45

6th Grade:  

Monday:  Students will add and subgtract decimals.

Monday Homework: Study FDP Chart; p.79 (1-10) *Round all to the tenths place.*

Tuesday:  Students will solve one step addition, subtraction equations with decimals.

Tuesday Homework: Study FDP Chart; p.81 (1-10)

Wednesday:  Students will multiply positive and negative decimals.

Wednesday Homework: Textbook p. 95 (1-6) and Study FDP Chart and Concentric Circles (Rational Numbers)

Thursday:  Students will divide positive and negative decimals.  FDP Quiz 2

Thursday Homework:  

Friday: World Fair

5th Grade:

Monday:  Students will use order of operations with exponents to evaluate numerical expressions.

Monday Homework: Textbook p. 122-123 (5-50 mult. of 5); Study Divisibility Rules

Tuesday: Students will practice order of operations and long division with 2-digit divisors.

Tuesday Homework:  Study divisibility rules.

Wednesday:  Students will problem solve using a variety of strategies.

Wednesday Homework: Textbook p.119 (2-12 evens) and p. 121 (28-31 all) and study divisibility rules.

Thursday:  Students will problem solve using a variety of strategies; Divisibility Rules Quiz 2
